Soumia Vellanki, President

Soumia is a senior Ingram Scholar double-majoring in Human & Organizational Development and Environmental Sociology with a minor in Business. She has career interests in social entrepreneurship, consulting, and sustainable investing. During the summer of 2024, Soumia was an Associate Consultant Intern at Bain & Co. in Atlanta, Georgia. Post-graduation, Soumia chose to defer her Bain & Co. return offer to teach elementary education in hard-to-hire school districts in the Bay Area and get involved in grassroots climate justice organizing. Her favorite thing about WiB is the authentic leadership and mentorship opportunities that pave the way for a better future workplace for all. Fun fact: As a devoted restaurant reviewer, Soumia is in the top 10% of all reviewers on Google!

Ryan Mahoney, Executive VP

Ryan is a junior studying Human and Organizational Development with a minor in Business. Previously, Ryan worked as a Business Analyst for Cox Communications and as an E-commerce and Marketing Intern for a small board game company. She is currently completing my capstone at Clearloop working on the Commercial Partnerships team and will be interning at Abercrombie & Fitch Co this upcoming summer. Ryan loves WiB because I love the community of strong, funny, supportive women this club has given me. A fun fact about Ryan is that she grew up in Montana!

Sophie Smith, VP of Marketing

Sophie is a sophomore double-majoring in Human & Organizational Development and Studio Art with a minor in Art History. She is working towards starting a career in the fashion and arts industry on the corporate side. Currently, she is working for Hemptress, a holistic skincare brand, aiding its email and SMS marketing. She is also a freelance artist, commissioning pieces for young adults and art museums. A fun fact about her is that she is a twin! She loves WiB because of the community it has given me and the amazing connections I have made.

Tiffany Ngigi, VP of Community Outreach

Calloway Groom, VP of Campus Engagement

Calloway is a sophomore majoring in Human & Organizational Development with minors in Business and History. She has career interests in business law and social entrepreneurship. During the summer of 2024, Calloway was a law clerk at Moorhead Law Group in Pensacola, FL. After graduation, Calloway hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer in the business world and attend law school. Her favorite thing about Women in Business is members' eagerness to both professionally and personally support each other. Fun fact: Calloway has a 25 lb cat!

Skylar Hack, VP of Team Management

Skylar is a sophomore Cornelius Vanderbilt scholar majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a minor in business. During the school year, she is an Associate Analyst at a venture capital firm in Brentwood, TN and runs her own small jewelry business, actively participating in every WiB MakHERs Market. Skylar loves WiB because it has shown me what true female leadership look like in the business world. She learns something new every day from her peers, inspiring companies, and the professional development programs WiB offers. WiB has empowered her in every sense of the word. In her free time, Skylar loves performing with her musical theatre organization and playing mahjong with her family.

Jackie Riordan, VP of Mentorship

Jackie is a senior majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a minor in Business. Originally from Bronxville, New York, she has been deeply involved in WiB since her freshman year. This summer, she's pursuing a career in investment banking. For Jackie, WiB is more than just a professional development hub; it’s a close-knit community of mentors and friends who have supported her throughout her time at Vandy. She fondly remembers the WiB retreat party bus as a highlight. Fun fact: Jackie has a 100+ lb dog named Tango!

Maddie Kluge, VP of Externship

Maddie is a sophomore majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a minor in Business. This past summer, I had the opportunity to work as a marketing intern for an AI tech startup, Brighthive, in my home city of Chicago. I love that WiB brings women of all backgrounds together to learn from each other personally and professionally. A fun fact about me is that I am a middle child in between two brothers!

Brooke Wagner, VP of Finance

Brooke is a sophomore from Weston, Connecticut, majoring in Economics with minors in Business and Philosophy. She’s excited to pursue a career in finance, where she can apply her analytical skills while collaborating with others. This fall, she interned with a real estate branding firm in Nashville, developing strategies focused on investment stabilization and business development. WiB has given her a strong community to learn from diverse perspectives and grow as a leader in a supportive environment. In her free time, Brooke loves reading, discovering new films, and exploring fashion. Fun fact: She read over 100 books last year!
