Soumia Vellanki, President

Soumia is a senior, double majoring in Human & Organizational Development and Environmental Sociology with a minor in Business. She has career interests in social enterprise, consulting, and sustainable investing. During the summer of 2024, Soumia interned at Bain & Company in Atlanta, Georgia. Her favorite thing about WiB is the authentic leadership and mentorship opportunities that pave the way for a better future workplace for all. A devoted restaurant-reviewer, Soumia is in the top 10% of all reviewers on Google!

Avery Salin, Executive VP

Avery is a junior majoring in Human & Organizational Development and minoring in Business and Data Science. She is highly involved on campus with activities such as Peabody Scholars Program, Finance Development Program, and Girls Who Invest. She is adamant in her pursuit of a career in finance. Inspired by the community she found in WiB, Avery assumed her role as EVP with the ultimate goal of mentoring the younger WiBers, just as the upperclassmen once guided her, helping them navigate their career paths, academic pursuits, and personal development.

Tatiana Gudegast, VP of Marketing

Tatiana, a junior majoring in Human and Organizational Development, envisions a post-college path centered on corporate social responsibility, where she can drive sustainable initiatives, create lasting positive change, and find fulfillment in work that aligns with her values. When she’s not WiBbing, Tatiana can be found surfing the breaks of California, riding horses, or reading any book by Sarah J. Maas. This year, she aims to attract more students by broadening WiB's influence through creative and forward-thinking marketing approaches.

Ashley Yau, VP of Community Outreach

Ashley is a junior majoring in Human & Organizational Development with minors in Business and Gender & Sexuality Studies. She spent her summer as a marketing and family office intern with a wealth management firm in the Bay Area. Ashley's involvement in WiB has significantly boosted her confidence, pushing her to take on challenges she might not have otherwise. Looking forward to her future career, Ashley has a keen interest in consulting, social entrepreneurship, and creative innovation. Something few people know about her is that she has over 11 years of sewing experience!

Ariana Freimuth, VP of Campus Engagement

Ariana is a junior majoring in Human and Organizational Development with minors in Business and Data Science. This summer, she is interning as a Salesforce Consultant at Deloitte in Tel Aviv, where she's gaining hands-on experience in consulting through technology. Ariana treasures WiB for its incredible community, which has been the cornerstone of her professional growth. She loves the opportunities WiB provides, from leadership roles to executing innovative initiatives. The highlight of her time in Tel Aviv this summer has been trying new foods!

Bella Guzman, VP of Team Management

Bella is a junior majoring in Human and Organizational Development and Sociology. This summer, she interned at a digital media company, where she enjoyed working with fellow interns, talented leaders, and even office dogs. Bella credits WiB with giving her the confidence and community she needed to succeed, helping her clarify her career path and excel in collaborative environments. She cherishes the friendships she’s made in WiB and the social and strategic skills she's gained. Outside of WiB, Bella loves cooking for friends and indulging in Jeni's Brambleberry Crisp ice cream.

Jackie Riordan, VP of Mentorship

Jackie is a senior majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a minor in Business. Originally from Bronxville, New York, she has been deeply involved in WiB since her freshman year. This summer, she's pursuing a career in investment banking. For Jackie, WiB is more than just a professional development hub; it’s a close-knit community of mentors and friends who have supported her throughout her time at Vandy. She fondly remembers the WiB retreat party bus as a highlight. Fun fact: Jackie has a 100+ lb dog named Tango!

Maddie Kluge, VP of Externship

Maddie, a sophomore majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a minor in Business, has a strong career interests in consulting and marketing. This summer, she interned at Brighthive in Chicago and enjoyed attending a Noah Kahan concert. WiB has been instrumental in her growth, offering her a community of ambitious, intelligent women who inspire and support her in both personal and professional development. She values the networking opportunities, mentorship, and resources WiB provides, which have accelerated her progress. Outside of WiB, Maddie enjoys baking.

Meredith Garnsey, VP of Finance

Meredith is a junior majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a minor in Business. Over the past few months, she has worked remotely for the Tennessee Department of Treasury, balancing her time between home in Colorado and exploring Tennessee's state government. Meredith has been inspired by the incredible women in WiB since her first GBM, and she feels fortunate to be part of such a supportive community. WiB has broadened her understanding of business and given her the confidence to take on new challenges, preparing her for a future in consulting, the nonprofit sector, or human resources.
